Installation
- thoroughly wash the inside of the sump from oil deposits. Clean the mating surfaces of the sump and cylinder block from gasket residues;

- apply a small amount of Rhodorseal 5661 to the sump surface in areas A on either side of the 1st main bearing (Figure 3.48) and in zones B (Figure 3.49) front cover of the cylinder block;

- install a new gasket on the pallet (Figure 3.50);
- install semicircular gaskets on the pallet and, having attached it to the block, fasten with bolts, tightening them crosswise, first with a torque of 8 Nm and finally with a torque of 14 Nm;
- raise the subframe and remove the temporary threaded posts, replacing them with bolts;
- connect the steering shaft to the intermediate steering shaft and tighten the mounting bolt;
- perform the remaining operations in the reverse order of removal;
- fill the engine with oil, start it and check for leaks.
