
Opening the hood
To open the hood, pull handle 1.
After a blow, even minor, to the radiator grille or hood, immediately contact the manufacturer's service station to check the hood lock.
When working in close proximity to the engine, be aware that it may be hot. Also remember that the cooling fan may turn on at any time. There is a risk of injury.
Unlocking the bonnet security lock
To open the hood, pull handle 2.

Raise the hood, release stop 4 from retainer 3 and, which is very important for your safety, be sure to insert it into socket 5 of the hood.
Before opening the hood, set the windshield wiper switch lever to the "Off" position (see section "Windscreen wiper/washer" in Chapter 1).
Closing the hood

Make sure you have not forgotten any foreign objects in the engine compartment.
To close the hood, reinstall stop 4 in retainer 3. Holding the hood by the middle part, bring it to about 20 cm from the closed position, and then release it. The hood will close under its own weight.
Make sure the hood is securely locked.
