Front Fender Replacement (Renault Symbol 2)

Replacing this part is the main operation for front and side stops.

Removal

1. Disconnect the fasteners (1) of the radiator grille to the wing, remove the grille.

2. Remove the hood grille.

3. Remove the front bumper.

4. Remove the three pins (A), unscrew the wing mounting bolts (B) and pins (C).

5. Remove the front and rear parts of the fender liner.

6. Open the front door. Loosen the wing mounting nuts (D) and (E).

7. Remove bolts (F), (G), (H) and (I).

8. Unscrew nuts (J) and (K), remove the wing.

Adjusting the position

1. Install the wing onto the sliding clips (L) and (M).

2. Tighten all wing fasteners by hand.

3. Adjust the position of the wing relative to the body panels.

4. Tighten the fasteners to a torque of 5 Nm in the following order:

• bolt (1), nut (K), bolt (F), nut (J) with the hood and front door closed.
• nut (E) and nut (D) with the door open.
• bopt (L) with the hood open.

5. Adjust the position of the headlights by turning the screw (G).
