Rear view mirror replacement, glass replacement (Renault Symbol 2)

Removal

1. Remove the panel (1) and plug (A).



2. Unscrew the three bolts (B) securing the mirror.



3. If necessary, disconnect the wiring connector.

4. Lift the mirror up (arrow 1) and to the side (arrow 2). Remove the mirror.

Replacing the mirror glass

1. Using a suitable lever, release the mirror glass from the clips.



2. If necessary, disconnect the glass heater connector.



3. When installing, check that the glass is securely fixed in the clip.

Replacement of the lid

1. Remove the mirror glass.



2. Using a screwdriver, release the glass base from the latches (A) of the cover, remove the cover.





3. To access the temperature sensor (B), remove the plastic housing of the mirror base.

Removal

Note: It is not necessary to remove the door panel to remove the mirror.

• The tightening torque of the mounting bolts is 2 Nm.
