The interior rearview mirror can be equipped with a dimming system depending on the brightness of the light (electrochromic technology).
The operating principle of this system is based on the comparison of the brightness values of lighting corresponding to the signals of two sensors:
- sensor A from the windshield side;
- sensor 8 from the mirror side.
Note: The outside rearview mirrors can also be equipped with this system. In this case, the dimming is activated by the inside rearview mirror. The outside mirrors do not have brightness sensors.
