Please note: The mirror glass can be replaced without removing the mirror itself.


Removal



1. Fold the mirror housing forward.

2. Insert a suitable spatula or wedge, such as FACOM Car. 1363, between the glass and the mirror housing and carefully pry the glass in the direction of the arrow (see illustration).

Attention! If you use a tool with sharp edges for these purposes, cover the mirror body with tape or put a rag underneath to avoid scratching the body.


3. Disconnect the glass heater wire (if any) (see illustration).

Installation



4. Install the mirror glass by inserting it into the four guides A on the housing (see illustration).

5. Press the glass until it locks into place in the holders. You will hear it lock into place (see illustration).

Caution: It is recommended to perform this operation with protective gloves to avoid injury from cracked glass.


6. Return the mirror housing to its original position.

7. Remove the mirror glass.

8. Remove the four clamps A and detach the mirror housing (see illustration).

Installation



9. Install the mirror housing in place and secure it with clamps A (see illustration 25.8).

10. Install the mirror glass.
