Removal
1. Remove the lid trim.
2. Unscrew the license plate light mounting bolts and disconnect the wire.
3. Unscrew the two nuts A securing the molding, as well as the nuts B of the lock switch (see illustration).

4. Remove the three C terminals (see illustration 12.3).
Installation
5. Place the molding and gasket on the outside of the trunk lid and secure it from the inside with clamps C and nuts L (see illustration 12.3).
6. Secure the lock switch with nuts B (see illustration 12.3).
7. Install license plate lights.
8. Install the trunk lid interior trim.
Cars with a "coupe" body
9. Remove the trunk lid trim.
10. Unscrew the two nuts A of the molding and the nuts B of the lock switch (see illustration).

11. Remove the covers from the fog lights (see illustration 12.10).
12. Unscrew the bolts D of the decorative cover near the fog lights (see illustration). If necessary, disconnect the fog light power plug.

13. Remove the molding by releasing it from the clamp E (see illustration 12.10).
Installation
14. Place the molding and gasket on the outside of the trunk lid and secure it from the inside with nuts L (see illustration 12.10). Press terminal E until it locks into place.
15. Secure the lock switch with nuts B (see illustration 12.10).
16. Connect the fog light plug.
17. Install the covers on the fog lights (see illustration 12.10).
18. Replace the lid trim.
