General information
The speech synthesizer is only included in the instrument cluster for fully equipped models (dual display). The instrument cluster for basic models cannot control voice messages,
The speech synthesizer function is provided by three components:
- instrument panel that analyzes transmission conditions and selects the language;
- The speech synthesizer ECU processes the instrument cluster signal and transmits the message;
- speech synthesizer loudspeaker.
Communication between the instrument panel and the speech synthesizer unit is carried out via the vehicle's multiplex network.
Function -mute (mute sound) car radio is activated by a signal via a wire from the speech synthesizer unit. The signal coming from the speech synthesizer can be interrupted by a message with a higher priority: navigation system, telephone, etc.
On vehicles equipped with a navigation system, messages are routed through the central electronic communication unit. If the central electronic communication unit is disconnected, messages are not transmitted.
The volume of transmitted messages changes in steps depending on the engine crankshaft speed.
Note: When the voice message cancel button is pressed, the message is replaced by a sound signal.
