Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Cut the exhaust pipe.

Remove the bolts securing the main muffler to the suspension cushion bracket and remove the main muffler (fig. 2.293).
Install the main muffler and coupling.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- suspension cushion bracket mounting bolts to muffler (8 Nm);
- bolts for fastening the suspension cushion bracket to the body (21 Nm).
Tighten the coupling, relieving the exhaust pipe to align it.
Make sure all exhaust pipe heat shields are present and securely fastened.
Make sure the exhaust pipe does not come into contact with the underbody.
