Main muffler (4x2 drive) (Renault Duster 1)

Removal

Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Place a hydraulic jack under the muffler.

Determine the area to cut the muffler.

Using a device (Mot. 1199-01) for cutting off exhaust pipes in the cutting area.

Remove the muffler silent block using the tool (Mot. 1857).

Note: If the silent block is damaged, replace it.

Remove the main muffler.

Installation

Install:

• main muffler,
• silent block of the main muffler.

Install a new aftermarket clutch.

Important note! Position the clamp bolt and nut so as to prevent them from touching the body.

Tighten the coupling, relieving the exhaust pipe to align it.

Check:

• the presence and reliable fastening of all heat shields of the exhaust pipeline,
• no contact with the bottom of the car body.

Start the engine.

Check for leaks and repair if found.
