Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Install a hydraulic jack under the additional muffler.
Determine the cutting area for the optional muffler.
Cut the exhaust pipe with a tool (Mot. 1199-01) in specially designed cut zones.
Remove the silent block to the additional muffler using the tool (Mot. 1857).
Note: If the silent block is damaged, replace it.
Remove the additional muffler.
Installation
Install:
- additional muffler,
- silent block of the additional muffler.
Install new repair couplings.
Important note! Position the coupling bolt and clamp nut so that they do not come into contact with the body.
Torque tighten the coupling bolt, unloading the exhaust pipe and ensuring its alignment.
Check:
- the presence and reliable fastening of all thermal screens of the exhaust pipeline,
- lack of contact with the bottom of the body.
Start the engine.
Check for leaks and repair if found.
