Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- top engine cover,
- air filter housing.
- protective screen.
Remove the catalytic converter.
Remove:
- bolts (1) securing the lifting eye on the timing belt side,
- lifting eye on the timing drive side (2).

Remove:
- mounting bolts (3) of the bracket of the rigid exhaust gas recirculation pipe from the cylinder head,
- mounting bolts (4) of the rigid EGR pipe from the exhaust manifold,
- bolts (5) for fastening the rigid EGR pipe from the rigid EGR pipe,
- eGR pipe, gasket between rigid EGR pipe and exhaust manifold,
- gasket between the rigid EGR pipe and the EGR cooler.

Installation
Caution! Do not scrape the mating surfaces of aluminum parts, as any damage to the mating surface may result in fuel leaks.
Cleanse with matting pads:
- mating surface of the EGR unit,
- exhaust manifold mating surface.
Caution! To ensure sealing, mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
Degrease using surface cleaner and a clean cloth:
- the mating surface of the exhaust manifold,
- mating surface of the EGR unit.
Parts that must be replaced:
- Exhaust gas recirculation pipe.
- Laying the exhaust gas recirculation pipeline.
- EGR pipe mounting bolt.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- bolts for fastening the bracket of the rigid exhaust gas recirculation pipe to the cylinder head (21 Nm),
- bolts for fastening the rigid EGR pipe to the exhaust manifold (36 Nm),
- bolts for fastening the rigid EGR pipe to the EGR unit (12 Nm),
- lifting eye mounting bolts (10 Nm).
