Bolts for fastening the lifting eye on the side of the timing drive and the metal supply air duct | 10 Nm |
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- engine top cover
- air filter housing,
- engine undertray protection,
- catalytic converter.
Remove:
- collar (1) on the air line between the air cooler and the EGR unit,
- collar (2) on the air line between the air cooler and the turbocharger.
Disconnect:
- clamp on the air line between the air cooler and the exhaust gas recirculation unit,
- air duct between air cooler and turbocharger,
- hose (3) crankcase ventilation,
- check valve (4) from the vacuum pump
- wiring block (5) from the EGR solenoid valve.
Install fixtures (Ms. 583) or clamps on the inlet and outlet liquid hoses of the exhaust gas cooler.
Attention! Take measures to ensure that leaking brake fluid does not come into contact with surrounding parts.
Remove:
- bolts (6) on the cover of the liquid chamber,
- fluid chamber cover, fluid chamber cover gaskets.
Remove:
- bolts (9) lifting eye fasteners on the timing side, lifting eye on the timing side (10),
- metal pipeline (11) air intake,
- metal air intake pipe gaskets,
- exhaust gas recirculation pipeline,
- fastening bolts (12) bracket for the exhaust gas recirculation unit,
- exhaust gas recirculation unit.
Remove on a workbench:
- air duct (7),
- mounting sleeve (8) air filter.
Installation
Install on a workbench:
- air duct (7),
- air filter mounting sleeve.
Be sure to replace:
- metal air intake pipe gaskets,
- fluid chamber cover gaskets,
- turbocharger air outlet gasket.
Using gray matting swabs, clean the mating surfaces of the exhaust gas cooler bracket on the gearbox side.
Attention! Do not scrape the mating surfaces of the aluminum parts as any damage to the mating surface may result in fuel leaks.
Clean with surface cleaner:
- fluid chamber cover gasket housing,
- mating surfaces of the bracket for the exhaust gas cooler on the gearbox side,
- housings of all gaskets of the metal air intake pipe,
- turbocharger air outlet gasket housing,
- casing of the metal inlet air duct in the cylinder head,
- housing of the metal air supply duct in the bracket of the exhaust gas cooler on the side of the gearbox.
Attention! To ensure sealing, mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Torque tighten:
- bolts of fastening of the block of recirculation of the fulfilled gases (21 Nm),
- bolts for fastening the lifting eye on the timing drive side and the metal air supply duct (10 Nm).
Fill the cooling system with liquid and remove air from it.
