Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Remove the engine oil pan guard and the right front wheel.
Remove the accessory drive belt.
Install clamps on the power steering pump inlet and outlet lines.
Remove the supply line clamp on the pump.
Disconnect the supply line.
Loosen the high pressure line fitting on the pump.
Remove the high pressure line from the pump.
Install plugs on the power steering lines and pump openings to prevent contamination of the system.

Remove the three mounting bolts to the multi-function bracket and remove the power steering pump (Fig. 5.24).
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- power steering pump mounting bolts (21 Nm);
- high pressure line nipple on the steering gear (21 Nm).
Caution: Tighten the two mounting bolts on the accessory drive belt side to the specified torque first, then the bolt on the opposite side.
Attention! The removed belt must be replaced.
Attention! Replace the tensioner and idler pulleys together with the belt.
Fill the power steering system with oil (ELFRENAULTMATIC D2).
Bleed the system by turning the steering wheel from one extreme position to the other with the engine not running.
Bleed the system by turning the steering wheel from one extreme position to the other with the engine running.
Bring the oil level in the tank to normal.
Check for leaks.
Install the engine oil pan guard.
