Removal
1. Remove the drive mode selector lever assembly as described in Section Removal and installation the drive mode selection lever assembly.
2. Disconnect the cable from the base of the lever.
3. Using a screwdriver, release the clip and separate the cable from the lever assembly (refer to the accompanying illustration).
Installation
1. Install in reverse order. Install the drive mode selector lever (refer to Section Removal and installation the drive mode selection lever assembly) and adjust the length of the cable as described in Section Adjusting the length of the driving mode switch cable.
