Warning: Prepare suitable containers to collect fluid and take measures to protect surrounding components from contact with brake fluid.
Removing the hydroelectronic control unit
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Install a spacer on the brake pedal to limit the flow of brake fluid.
4. Disconnect connector (1) hydroelectronic control unit.
5. Loosen connections (2) brake pipelines from the hydroelectronic control unit.
6. Install plugs in the openings of the hydro-electronic unit and brake turbo lines.
Installation of the hydroelectronic control unit
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Note: Observe the tightening torques for the screw connections of the brake system components (see table at the beginning of the chapter).
Bleed the hydraulic circuit of the brake system.
Perform a post-repair check using the diagnostic tool.
