Replacing the idle speed control valve (Renault Logan 1)

The idle speed controller is located at the bottom of the throttle assembly. It consists of a two-pole stepper motor and a cone valve connected to it. At the signal from the ECU, the motor moves the valve, thereby changing the flow section of the air duct.

You will need a TORX T20 key.

1. Remove the air filter (see "Removing and installing the air filter").

2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the regulator (with ignition off).

5. ...and its sealing ring.

Note: Replace a damaged or loosened ring with a new one.


6. Install the regulator in the reverse order of removal.
