Turning on

Press switch 1 on the symbol side. Signal lamp 7 will light up orange, the instrument cluster will display the message "Speed limiter", accompanied by a dash in zone 6, to indicate that the speed limiter is activated and that it is ready to record the speed limit value.

To memorise the current speed, press switch 2 (+): the speed limit value is displayed in zone 6. The minimum value that can be memorised is 30 km/h.

To memorise the current speed, press switch 2 (+): the speed limit value is displayed in zone 6.…

Once the speed value has been stored in memory, the vehicle is controlled in the same way as a vehicle without a speed limiter system until the vehicle speed reaches the set value.

You can change the set speed limiter by pressing sequentially:
  • on switch 2 (+) to increase speed;
  • on switch 3 (-) to reduce the speed.

Speed limiting and maintenance system controls:

Speed limiting and maintenance system controls:
1 - main switch;
2 - activation, memorization and increase of the limited speed value (+);
3 - step-by-step decrease of the speed limit value (-);
4 - disable function (with the speed limit value stored in memory) (ABOUT);
5 - Activation and recall of the stored speed limit value (R)

Exceeding the speed limit

You can exceed the speed limit at any time by pressing the accelerator pedal all the way down.

During the entire period of overspeeding, the set speed value flashes on the instrument cluster (on Megane III cars the area above the speedometer lights up red).

Then, when driving conditions allow, release the accelerator pedal: the speed limiter mode will be activated as soon as the vehicle speed drops below the stored value.

Note: If the driving speed has dropped too much, the speed limit is not maintained by the system: in this case, the stored value flashes on the instrument cluster.

Putting the system into standby mode

The speed limiter is suspended by pressing switch 4 (O). In this case, the speed limit value remains in the memory and is no longer displayed in zone 6, the message "Memorised" appears on the display, accompanied by the value of the speed limit value stored in the memory.

Retrieving a saved speed limit value

If the speed limit value has been stored in memory, it can be recalled by pressing switch 5 (R) once.

Note: When the limiter is turned on and button 2 (+) is pressed, the speed limiter is activated, but the stored speed value is not taken into account: the system will maintain the current speed of the vehicle.

System shutdown

Press button 1, the speed limit mode will be cancelled without saving the speed limit value. The orange indicator lamp 7 on the instrument cluster goes out, confirming that the system has been switched off.
