The electric parking brake ensures that the vehicle remains immobile when the engine is stopped using the engine start/stop button 1.

In all other cases, such as when the engine stops spontaneously, the electric parking brake does not engage automatically. In this case, it must be engaged manually.
The activation of the electric parking brake is confirmed by the appearance of a message "Parking brake on" and by turning on the signal lamp on the instrument cluster and by turning on the signal lamp 2 on switch 3.
After the engine has stopped, indicator lamp 2 goes out a few minutes after the electric parking brake has been applied and goes out on the instrument cluster when the vehicle is locked.

Automatic release of the parking brake
Switching off occurs from the moment the engine starts during acceleration with the gear engaged and the engine running.
At the same time, a sound signal is heard and a message appears on the instrument panel "Apply parking brake".
Manually engaging the electric parking brake
Pull switch 3. The indicator lamp on the instrument cluster lights up and indicator 2 lights up.
Manually releasing the electric parking brake
With the ignition on, press the brake pedal, then press button 3: the indicator lights will go out.
