The fuel filter is mounted on the bottom of the fuel tank in its front part, so it is more convenient to work on a lift or an inspection ditch.
Note. Renault Logan cars use Bosch fuel filters with catalog number 0 450 902 161.
1. Reduce the pressure in the fuel supply system (see «Reducing the pressure in the power system»).
2. Substitute a container to collect the escaping gasoline, squeeze the clamps and disconnect the tip of the fuel supply line from the filter.
3. Disconnect the tubing tip on the other side of the filter in the same way.
4. Slightly pull the clamp and remove the fuel filter from it.
5. Install a new fuel filter in the reverse order of removal, so that the arrow on the cylindrical part of the filter housing coincides with the direction of fuel flow. Connect the ends of the fuel hoses to the filter by moving along the fittings until the latches snap into place.
Attention! After installing the fuel filter, be sure to check the fuel filter connections to the fuel lines with the engine running for gasoline leaks. If necessary, repeat the operation of connecting the fuel lines until they are securely fixed. If leaks from the connections persist, replace the fuel line end o-rings or fuel line assemblies.
