2. Pressure intake pipe fitting in front of the particle filter.
3. Fitting for fastening the pressure intake pipe after the anti-particulate filter.
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove:
- upper engine covers;
- engine undertray protection.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the particle filter.
Remove the pressure intake pipe in front of the particle filter 4 from the adapter 5 wrapped in the exhaust pipe.
Attention! When disconnecting the pressure sampling tube, be sure to hold the front inlet fitting 5 with a wrench.
Note. It is forbidden to open the pressure intake circuit, it is only allowed to remove the fastening fittings to the exhaust pipeline.
Unscrew the nut 6 that secures the pressure sensor of the diesel particulate filter to the bracket.
Attention! Do not separate the pressure intake pipes from the particle filter. Replace assembly if necessary «sensor, tubing and fitting», supplied assembled in spare parts.
Installation
Apply ANTI-SEIZE heat-resistant grease or copper-aluminum coupler to the threads of the pressure measuring tube after the particulate filter.
Attention! Make sure that no lubricant is squeezed out of the tube threads when screwing in.
Attention! Fittings removed from the exhaust pipeline. must be replaced with new ones.
Install the rigid part of the pressure intake tube in front of the particle filter, positioning it so that it is parallel (±3°) longitudinal axis of the exhaust pipe.
Install the pressure intake pipe upstream of the particle filter on the adapter screwed into the exhaust pipe.
Torque tighten:
- union on the exhaust pipe 44 Nm only if it has been replaced;
- pressure intake pipe in front of the particle filter on the fitting installed on the exhaust pipe 21 Nm.
Install:
- particulate filter pressure sensor with bracket;
- the mounting nut of the pressure sensor bracket of the anti-sweet filter located in the engine compartment.
Tighten the nut securing the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor bracket located in the engine compartment with a wrench.
Install the particulate filter.
Note. After tightening the pressure sampling pipes, check that there are no low points in the pressure measuring circuit (siphons), where water can accumulate.
For this:
- check the correct position of the rigid parts of the pressure intake tubes relative to the longitudinal axis of the exhaust pipeline;
- correct the position of the pressure intake pipes with the clips fastening to the heat shield (turn the tube in the clamp so that there is no downward deflection).
Connect the battery.
Install:
- engine undertray protection;
- engine top covers.
Before starting the engine. clear the memory of the injection computer using the diagnostic tool.
