Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Disconnect the battery after making sure that the steering column is securely locked.
Remove:
- front wheels and fairing under the engine;
- engine cover;
- collector heat shield;
- nuts for fastening the flange of the inlet pipe to the manifold.
Disconnect the oxygen sensor connectors and disconnect the wiring harnesses.
Remove the right and left front subframe tie rods.

Lower the subframe a few centimeters:
- remove bolt 1 of the reaction rod;
- loosen the steering shaft cardan joint terminal bolt a few turns and remove the nut by tapping the bolt;
- remove the bolts of the 2 triangular brackets of the rear subframe mount;
- loosen the bolts 3 of the rear subframe mount by no more than five turns.

Install a hydraulic jack on the front of the subframe and remove the 4 subframe strut mounting bolts,
Lower the subframe, then remove the hydraulic jack.

Remove the oxygen sensors and the strut mounting bolt 5.

Remove the four nuts 6 of the catalytic converter and pre-catalytic converter flange by inserting the tool through the subframe using several extensions.
Remove:
- pre-catalytic converter;
- heat shields of the pre-catalytic converter in case of its replacement.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Insert the studs into the pre-catalytic converter flange.
Replace the gaskets with new ones.
Note: Before tightening the front subframe strut bolts, make sure they rest securely on the two axles welded to the body.
Observe tightening torques.
Make sure the steering column lock is securely in place.
If this is not the case, the steering column height will need to be readjusted.
