Attention! When disconnecting the pressure sampling tube, be sure to hold the fitting with a wrench.
Note. It is forbidden to open the pressure intake circuit; it is only allowed to remove the fastening fittings to the exhaust pipeline.
Disconnect the fastening of the pressure intake pipe after the particulate filter to the filter heat shield.
Bring the pressure intake pipe after the anti-particulate filter into the engine compartment without disconnecting it from the pressure sensor.
Disconnect the pressure sensor connector of the diesel particulate filter 5 installed in the engine compartment.
Unscrew the nut 6 securing the pressure sensor bracket of the diesel particulate filter located in the engine compartment.
Remove the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor together with the bracket.
Loosen lock nut 7.
Disconnect the temperature sensor remote connector downstream of the particle filter 8.
Disconnect the temperature sensor remote connector after the particle filter.
Note. To disconnect a connector:
- pull the tab to unlock it;
- slide the connector onto the latch, towards the female part.
Disconnect the remote connector of the temperature sensor in front of the particle filter 9.
Disconnect the remote connector of the temperature sensor in front of the particle filter.
To disconnect a connector:
- pull the tab to unlock it;
- slide the connector onto the latch, towards the female part.
Disconnect the wire of the remote connector of the temperature sensor in front of the particle filter 10.
Remove the clamp 11 between the main silencer and the particle filter.
Remove the assembly that includes «particle filter - mounting clamp - pressure sensors - temperature sensors».
Lifting the particle filter, remove the silent block from the mounting studs to the subframe.
Remove the bellows from the pre-catalyst studs by pulling the exhaust pipe towards the rear of the vehicle and lowering it down.
Remove from the particle filter assembly:
- nut for fastening the silent block to the particulate filter;
- silent block;
- temperature sensors before and after the particle filter from the fittings on the exhaust pipe;
- pressure intake pipe in front of the particulate filter, from the fitting on the exhaust pipe;
- bellows.
Installation
Attention! Be sure to replace:
- gasket between bellows and particulate filter;
- gasket between bellows and preconverter;
- a collar of fastening of the antiparticulate filter to the main muffler;
- fittings removed from the exhaust pipeline;
- damaged heat shields.
Attention! The mating surfaces of the mounting flanges should be thoroughly cleaned «bellows to pre-catalytic converter and particle filter.
On the removed particle filter, install:
- bellows with new gasket;
- pressure intake pipe in front of the particulate filter to the fitting on the exhaust pipe;
- temperature sensors before and after the particle filter from the fittings on the exhaust pipe;
- silent block;
- the nut securing the silent block to the particulate filter.
Torque tighten the nut that secures the silent block to the particulate filter 25 Nm.
Install the particle filter assembly - bellows - pressure sensors - temperature sensors».
Attention! When installing the particle filter, be careful so that the pressure intake pipe after the particle filter is located behind the heat shield.
Install the mounting clamp between the main muffler and the particle filter.
Connect the temperature sensor remote connector after the particle filter.
Fasten:
- remote connector wiring of the temperature sensor in front of the particle filter;
- remote temperature sensor connector in front of the particulate filter.
Connect the temperature sensor remote connector in front of the particle filter.
Clip the temperature sensor remote connector in front of the particle filter.
Install:
- lock nut;
- particulate filter pressure sensor with bracket;
- the mounting nut of the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor bracket located in the engine compartment.
Tighten the nut securing the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor bracket located in the engine compartment with a wrench.
Connect the connector of the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor located in the engine compartment.
Bring the pressure intake pipe after the diesel particulate filter into the engine compartment without disconnecting it from the pressure sensor.
Attach the pressure measuring tube downstream of the particle filter to the filter heat shield.
Apply ANTI-SEIZE heat-resistant grease or copper-aluminum coupler to the threads of the pressure measuring tube after the particle filter.
Attention! Follow that. so that the lubricant does not squeeze out of the threads of the tube when screwing.
Attention! The removed fittings for fastening to the exhaust pipeline must be replaced with new ones.
Install the rigid part of the pressure intake tube in front of the particle filter, positioning it so that it is parallel (±3’) longitudinal axis of the exhaust pipe.
Torque tighten the fitting on the outlet pipe 44 N-m only if it has been replaced.
Tighten the pressure intake pipe in front of the particle filter on the fitting installed on the exhaust pipe 21 Nm.
Install the nuts securing the bellows flange to the preneutralizer.
Install the nuts securing the silent block to the subframe.
Torque tighten:
- nuts for fastening the bellows flange to the preliminary converter 21 Nm;
- nuts fastening the silent block to the subframe 25 Nm.
Attention! After tightening the pressure sampling pipes, check that there are no low points in the pressure measuring circuit (siphons), where water can accumulate.
For this:
- check the correct position of the rigid parts of the pressure intake tubes relative to the longitudinal axis of the exhaust pipeline;
- correct the position of the pressure intake pipes with the clips fastening to the heat shield (turn the tube in the clamp so that there is no downward deflection).
Make sure the exhaust pipe is not in contact with the underbody.
Attention! A damaged heat shield must be replaced.
Connect the battery.
Install:
- engine undertray protection;
- engine top covers.
Before starting the engine, clear the memory of the injection computer using a diagnostic tool.
Attention! Check the tightness of the exhaust tract with the engine running and, using a leak detector, within 5 minutes, check that there are no exhaust gas leaks through the fittings that attach the sensors to the exhaust pipeline.
