Clutch parts of the old and new designs are not interchangeable.
Removal
- Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the retainer (2, Fig. 5.12) installed on the fitting and disconnect the pipe connecting the clutch master cylinder to the clutch slave cylinder.

- Remove the gearbox.
- Remove the retainer (3, Fig. 5.13) and disconnect the nipple from the clutch slave cylinder.

- Unscrew the three bolts (B, Fig. 5.14) fastenings of the working cylinder, then remove the cylinder.

Attention. Except in the case of a faulty clutch hydraulic drive, before proceeding to remove the mechanical clutch element, it is necessary to bleed the hydraulic drive using a special method.
Installation
- Check the condition of the sealing rings.
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- When installing, connect the nipple to the slave cylinder before tightening the three bolts that secure the cylinder to the clutch housing so that the nipple can be passed through the hole in the clutch housing in the sealing ring area
- Tighten the three slave cylinder mounting bolts to 9 Nm.
Notes
- To avoid damage to the slave cylinder, do not apply grease to the splines of the transmission input shaft.
- To prevent fluid leaks, always replace the clutch slave cylinder when replacing the clutch housing.
- Be sure to bleed the clutch hydraulic drive.
