Removal


  • Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals.
  • Remove the air filter.
  • Disconnect the cable from the clutch release fork.
  • Disconnect the clutch cable from the bracket on the engine.
  • To remove the clutch cable housing retainer from the front shield, remove the console under the steering wheel.
  • Pull the clutch cable into the engine compartment.

Installation


  • From the engine compartment, pass the clutch cable into the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
  • Attach the cable to the clutch pedal and engine bracket.
  • Connect the cable to the clutch release fork.
  • Press the clutch pedal to position the cable housing retainer in the front shield.
  • The cable length is adjusted automatically.
  • Make sure the clutch drive is working properly.
  • With the pedal released, pull the cable at the clutch release fork (fig. 5.8). The cable should move a distance of 3 mm.
  • Install the air filter and connect the wires to the battery terminals.
