Removal


  • Remove the gearbox.
  • Remove the clutch housing with the pressure plate and the driven clutch disc.
  • Using the Mot.852 tool, block the flywheel from turning (fig. 5.3)
  • Loosen the flywheel mounting bolts (bolts should not be reused).
  • Remove the flywheel and tool Mot. 582.
  • It is not allowed to ream the flywheel surface for the driven clutch disc
  • If the flywheel is damaged or worn, replace it.

Installation


  • Use a dry cloth to clean the threaded holes in the crankshaft flange for the flywheel mounting bolts.
  • Degrease the surface of the crankshaft flange under the flywheel.
  • Install the flywheel, lubricating the place where it fits with Loctite AUTOFORM locking compound.
  • Apply Loctite FRENETANCH to new bolts and tighten finger tight.
  • Using the Mot852 tool, lock the flywheel from turning (fig. 5.3).
  • Tighten the flywheel mounting bolts to 60 Nm.
  • Remove tool Mot. 582.
