Removal
- Turn off the ignition.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the load potentiometer.
- Remove the two screws and remove the load potentiometer.
Installation
- Install a new potentiometer.
- Observe the installation position of the potentiometer in relation to the high-pressure fuel pump.
Note: Adjustment of the potentiometer lever can only be carried out at a Renault centre.
Adjustment
- The potentiometer adjustment is carried out under voltage.
- To apply voltage to the terminals of the potentiometer (connector connected, ignition on), it is necessary to connect the powered contacts of the engine compartment wiring harness connector and the potentiometer contacts with an additional wire.
- Measure the voltage at pins 1 and 2 of the potentiometer connector.
- When the accelerator pedal is pressed all the way down, the voltage should be 4.5±0.1 V, otherwise, turn the potentiometer until the required voltage value is obtained.
- Tighten the potentiometer mounting screws.
- After that, set the parameters "pedal pressed" and "pedal released". To do this, type G31* on the keyboard of the XR25 diagnostic tool and register the parameter "pedal pressed", then - "pedal released".
