- For this, each headlight has a stepper motor, which, when the knob is turned, rotates a certain distance and thereby changes the position of the headlight reflector.
- The initial position of the headlight on the switch corresponds to the position «0». The maximum tilt angle when fully loaded is reached in the switch position «4».
- A corresponding coil is built into the switch for each position (with a movably fixed iron rod), which transmits a certain frequency to the electronics of both stepper motors of the headlight. The electronics then compares the stated frequency of the setpoint with the actual position of the headlights. Their position is also determined by the frequency. By comparing frequencies, the electronics determines how much to raise or lower the headlight reflectors.
