Removing
Note. Before removing the airbag, lock the SRS control unit using a diagnostic tester.
Note. At undermining of a pillow as a result of failure replace a steering wheel. Check system performance.
- disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least 5 minutes for the control unit capacitors to discharge and the system to deactivate;
- use a screwdriver to unfasten the clips securing the pillow (under the steering wheel).
- release the connector retainer and disconnect the airbag connector.

- Carefully remove the module from the steering wheel. Please note that the pillow must not be hit or dropped, it must be stored with the cover up.
Installation
- connect the connector correctly and install the module in the middle of the steering wheel without pinching the wiring. Screw in the fastening screws and tighten them to the prescribed torque;
- make sure that no one is inside the vehicle and connect the battery. With the door open on the driver's side, from outside the vehicle, turn on the ignition and check that the warning light in the instrument cluster comes on.
Passenger Airbag Module Replacement
Removing
- disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal and wait at least 5 minutes for the control unit capacitors to discharge and the system to deactivate;
- remove the top front panel (see section «Body»);
Release the connector retainer and disconnect the airbag connector (A).
Loosen the screws (IN) cushion fasteners, remove the cushion.

Installation
- put the pillow in place and securely screw in the fixing screws. Connect the wiring connector, laying it correctly, and secure the retainer;
- install the upper part of the instrument panel as described in section «Body»;
- make sure that no one is inside the vehicle and connect the battery. With the door open on the driver's side, from outside the vehicle, turn on the ignition and check that the warning light in the instrument cluster comes on.
