To remove the sealing ring, tap the sealing cuff with a punch with a thin cylindrical end and a hammer. This is necessary to turn it.

Remove the sealing ring, being careful not to damage the splines of the planetary gear (fig. 3.100).

Secure the differential housing-gear assembly using the tool (B.Vi.1057) attached to the housing (fig. 3.101).

Remove the housing mounting nut (fig. 3.102).

Remove the bearing pre-tensioning adjusting shim A (fig. 3.103).

Remove the entire assembly by pushing it towards the planetary gear.

Slide and remove the bearings using a puller (fig. 3.104).

Installation



To provide support, place a plate under the gear.

Using the device (B.Vi.1059) and a press, install the bearing until it stops on the housing (fig. 3.105).
