Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Remove the top engine covers.
Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Note: It is not necessary to drain the oil and remove the automatic transmission to remove the oil cooler solenoid valve.

Loosen the two bolts securing the solenoid valve and remove the solenoid valve regulating the oil supply to the cooler (fig. 3.172).
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
