Automatic operation
The vehicles are equipped with a lever switch with a ring for adjusting the frequency of brush movement in automatic mode or a system for automatically changing the frequency of brush movement in intermittent mode. In both cases, the vehicles are equipped with:
- sensor sensitivity regulator on the windshield wiper switch lever;
- a system for automatically changing the frequency of brush movement in intermittent mode and a light sensor.
To turn on the system, set the wiper switch to the intermittent mode position. When turning off the ignition, set the wiper switch to the stop position, then back to the intermittent mode position.
Features of work
In case of increased resistance to the movement of the windshield wiper arms (for example, when driving at high speed) the protection and switching unit automatically switches the windshield wiper to a lower speed mode.

If the windshield wiper mechanism jams (for example, when the brushes freeze to the windshield) the protection and switching unit automatically switches off the power supply to the electric motor only when the vehicle is stationary.
If the windshield wiper is turned on by the switch or the rain sensor, the rear window wiper is turned on when reverse gear is engaged.
Commands coming from the windscreen wiper switch have the highest priority and override commands coming from the UCH and the protection and switching unit.
The frequency of the rear window wiper blades depends on the vehicle speed.
If the CEBKS does not receive a control signal from the steering column switch, the low speed of the windshield wiper is automatically switched on.
The UCHBS has special configurations to provide the glass cleaning and washing function.
