General description and precautions
Warning! Before working on the electrical system, read the precautions in Chapter Engine electrical equipment.
The vehicle is equipped with a 12V negative ground electrical system. Power for lamps and electrical equipment is provided by an acid-type battery that is charged by a generator.
This Chapter covers repair and maintenance procedures for various non-engine electrical components. Information regarding the battery, alternator and starter can be found in Chapter Engine electrical equipment.
Before working on any component in the electrical system, the negative battery terminal must be disconnected.
