Opening the hood

Raise the hood, holding it. The hood is held by a gas strut (4).

Closing the hood

Make sure you have not left any foreign objects in the engine compartment.

To close, hold the hood by the middle part, bring it to about 30 cm from the closed position, then release.

The hood will close under its own weight.

Attention:

Do not lean on the hood as it may close unexpectedly.

Before working under the hood, make sure the windshield wiper switch is in the "Off" position. There is a risk of injury.

Make sure the hood is securely locked. Make sure there is nothing preventing the lock from locking (a piece of gravel, rags, etc.).

After completing work in the engine compartment, check that nothing has been forgotten inside (rags, tools, etc.). Objects left inside may damage the engine or cause a fire.

Even after a minor impact to the radiator grille or hood, check the hood lock as soon as possible at the manufacturer's service center.
