Lubrication of body fittings (Renault Logan 1)

To increase the service life of the body, lubricate the rubbing parts at each maintenance (at least every 15,000 km or once a year). If creaking or sticking occurs, immediately clean the relevant parts and then apply lubricant (the type of lubricant is indicated in brackets).

The body needs to be lubricated at the following points.



1. Door hinges (motor oil).



2. Door opening limiter mechanism...



3. ...and the limiter finger (engine oil or grease type NGLI No.1 or NGLI No.2).





4. Door locks (silicone grease or grease type NGLI No.1 or NGLI No.2).



5. Door lock switch cylinders, trunk...



6. ...and the fuel tank filler caps (silicone grease in aerosol can).



7. Fuel tank filler cap hinge and spring (motor oil).





8. Loops...



9. ...and the hood lock (motor oil).



10. Exterior mirror hinge (silicone grease in aerosol can).



11. Castle (silicone grease in aerosol can)...





12. ...and the trunk lid hinges (motor oil).



13. Rubber door seals...



14. ...and the trunk opening (silicone grease in aerosol can).
