Note. Removal and installation of the outside rearview mirror are shown using the left mirror as an example, the right mirror is removed in a similar way. The right and left outside mirrors are identical in design.
You will need: all the tools necessary to remove the front door trim, and a TORX T20 key or a 10 mm socket head.
1. Remove the front door trim (see "Removing and installing the front door trim").
2. Remove the sealing gasket from the mirror control handle...
3. ...and remove the foam sealing insert from the door cavity.
4. Remove the two bolts securing the outside rearview mirror to the door panel...
5. ...and remove the mirror.
6. Install the outside rearview mirror and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
