The engine is running normally
The fuel drain line of the safety valve must be installed on the fuel rail.
Start the engine.
Place the diagnostic tool in the parameter display mode.
Warm up the engine.
Read the fuel temperature value using parameter PR063 "Fuel temperature". If the temperature changes quickly, wait until the fuel temperature rises to 50°C. If the temperature displayed by the diagnostic tool does not change or changes too slowly, drive for 15 minutes.
Stop the engine.
Fit tool Mot. 1760. Set the diagnostic tool to parameter display mode and check parameter PRQ38 "Rail pressure". Have an assistant monitor the filling of the fuel tanks while the engine is running, as one of them may fill up faster than the others if there is a large leak from the corresponding injector.
Start the engine.
Increase the engine speed until the rail pressure reaches 550 bar. If the speed is below 3000 min⁻¹, maintain this pressure. If the speed is above 3000 min⁻¹, reduce it until the rail pressure reaches 500 bar and maintain this pressure. Maintain these conditions for 1 min.

Release the accelerator pedal and maintain idle speed for 10 s.
Stop the engine.
Measure the amount of fuel in the 8 measuring cup. Replace the injector that corresponds to a fuel amount greater than 5 ml. Remove the Mot. 1760 device as indicated in the removal procedure.
The engine runs intermittently
Install the Mot. 1760 tool as indicated in its installation procedure.
Click on the start button (on the card).
Measure the length of the fuel-filled sections of the tubes using the Mot. 1760 tool.
Replace the relief valve if the tubes are filled with fuel more than 10 cm.
