All four thermostatic valves are installed on the thermostat block under the manifold at the battery level. The thermostatic valve system is designed to heat the coolant. When the engine is running, 12 V is supplied to the thermostatic valves through three relays. One relay controls two thermostatic valves, each of the other two relays controls one thermostatic valve. This allows you to control one, two, three or all four thermostatic valves. When the thermostatic valves are operating, the engine crankshaft speed increases to 900 min⁻¹.

Thermovalves are off:
  • with preheating;
  • during subsequent heating;
  • at engine crankshaft speed less than 700 min⁻¹

When the above conditions are met, the thermal valves are controlled depending on the air and coolant temperature.
