Removal of glow plugs is carried out without disassembling the high-pressure fuel system
Removal
- Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the glow plugs (Fig. 4.50).

- Clean the area around the glow plugs to prevent contaminants from entering the engine cylinders.
- Unscrew and remove the glow plugs.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten the glow plugs to 11 Nm.
