2. Place a wooden block between the piston and the brake caliper and blow out the piston with compressed air (see illustration).
7.2 Piston Blowout Connect the compressor to the specified location
3. Remove the sealing ring from the channel using a blunt tool. A flat measuring probe will do the job (see illustration).
7.3 Removing the cylinder seal ring
4. Wipe all parts with alcohol and check for wear, surface deformation or corrosion. If any of these damages are present, none of these components can be used again.
5. Install a new sealing ring into the cylinder groove and wipe the piston and sealing ring with clean brake fluid. Insert the piston and install the dust ring. Put on the retaining ring.
