2. Place a block of wood between the piston and brake caliper and blow out the piston with compressed air (see illustration).
7.2 Purge the piston. Connect the compressor at the specified location
3. Remove the o-ring from the channel using a blunt tool. A flat feeler gauge is suitable for this (see illustration).
7.3 Removing the cylinder seal
4. Wipe all parts with alcohol and check for wear, surface distortion or corrosion. None of these components can be used again if the specified damage is present.
5. Install a new O-ring in the cylinder groove and wipe the piston and O-ring with clean brake fluid. Insert the piston and install the dust ring. Put on the fastening ring.
