2. Thoroughly clean the area around the brake master cylinder reservoir cap and brake line connections, remove the cap, and drain the reservoir of brake fluid. 3 Loosen the reservoir and remove it from the brake master cylinder.
4. Remove union nuts of pipelines of a brake drive and both nuts of fastening of the main brake cylinder. When doing this, note where the individual connections are attached and carefully remove the cylinder.
5. Install in reverse order. Install O-ring (see illustration).
3.5 O-ring mounted on the flange of the brake master cylinder (1) must always change
6. If the brake booster has been changed, measure the protruding edge of the push rod at the end of the unit. To do this, measure the distance from the edge of the pusher rod to the mounting surface of the cylinder, which is marked «X» (see illustration). If this value is not 22.3 mm, see chapter 19 of this section. This distance cannot be adjusted.
3.6 To determine the value «X», use a feeler gauge to measure the distance from the end of the push rod (1) up to the base
7. Tighten the union nuts of the brake lines and the cylinder nut to 13 Nm.
8. Install the reservoir, fill the system with fresh brake fluid and bleed the brake system as described in Chapter 18.
