1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Disconnect the multi-pin connector.
3. Engine type "C": loosen the tension bolt and the mounting bracket bolt.
4. Loosen the swivel support screw.
5. Tilt the generator and remove the V-belt.
6. Remove the tension bolt and the pivot support bolt.
7. Lift the generator upwards out of the engine compartment.
8. Engine type "F" (standard design): loosen the tensioner. To do this, loosen the mounting bolt.
9. Loosen the tension bolt and the pivot support bolt.
10. Tilt the generator and remove the V-belt.
11. Unscrew the generator mounting bolts.
12. Remove the generator from the engine compartment.
13. 16-valve engine: remove the right headlight.
14. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir.
15. Remove the rear generator stand (one bolt).
16. Release the tensioner and remove the V-ribbed belt.
17. Remove the generator mount (3 bolts).
18. Unscrew the lower generator mounting nut.
19. Remove the lower expansion bolt.
20. Remove the generator through the headlight opening.
