- All engines: do not move any further under any circumstances!
- In this case, the coolant pump does not work, and the coolant that has stopped circulating in the engine block will immediately boil. Therefore, immediately install a new V-belt or tow the car to a car repair shop.
Broken V-belt (Renault 19)
If during a trip the red discharge indicator lamp suddenly lights up and you hear something in the engine compartment hitting metal several times hard, then most likely the V-belt has broken. Be sure to stop and check!
