1. Indicator "low oil level.
This indicator appears on the screen for about 30 seconds after the engine starts. If the oil pressure is OK, the message looks like il ok.
If the ADAC or RESET button is pressed during the display, then, in addition to the oil ok message, the oil level in the sump will be displayed. The squares show the remaining oil.
If the oil level has reached the minimum value, then after turning on the ignition, the oil message and dashes will flash for 30 seconds. At the same time, the indicator lights up, warning about the need for service in the service (SERV). which continues to burn even after starting the engine.
Note:
- During normal operation, the oil level is measured after the ignition is switched off for more than one minute. In other cases, the old oil level is indicated.
- Normally, the recorded oil level does not remain constant even with short run times (for example, parking on a slope, delay in draining oil after stopping the engine, especially when the engine is cold, etc.).
2. Odometer.
The total mileage of the vehicle is displayed after the oil level has been entered. The withdrawal time is 30 seconds. Pressing the ADAC or RESET buttons decreases the total mileage display time. The partial mileage instead of the total mileage is displayed by briefly pressing the ADAC button. The partial mileage counter is reset by pressing the RESET button.
Note. Mileage may be displayed in kilometers or miles, depending on the version.
3. On-board computer (ADAC)
After displaying information about the total mileage of the car, information about the operating parameters of the car can be displayed on the display. The output of information is carried out by repeated pressing the ADAC button (located at the end of the wiper switch lever):
- total fuel consumption (in liters per 100 km or miles per gallon).
- average fuel consumption since last reset (in liters per 100 km or miles per gallon).
The average consumption is only displayed after the vehicle has driven at least 400 meters. It is calculated as the quotient of the total expense divided by the distance travelled.
- current fuel consumption (in liters per 100 km or miles per gallon).
Current consumption is recorded at speeds above 30 km/h. When the accelerator pedal is released and the speed is above 30 km/h, the current fuel consumption is assumed to be zero.
Note. This option does not apply to vehicles delivered to the UK.
- mileage to run out of fuel (in kilometers or miles) in this driving mode.
Note. This option is disabled when the low fuel indicator is on".
- mileage since the last reset of the odometer.
- average speed since the last reset.
The average speed is defined as the quotient of the division of the passed bullet by the time of movement. The timer is built into the on-board computer.
Troubleshooting in the on-board computer system
For troubleshooting, turn on the ignition (do not start the engine) and hold down the ADAC button. All indicators of the arrows of the four indicators should light up to move one step. A test picture will appear on the display - all segments should be lit.
To proceed to the next test step, press the ADAC button.
A message about the remaining fuel in the tank should appear.
The value of the indicated remaining fuel must correspond to the actual amount of fuel To proceed to the next step of the test, press the ADAC button Start the engine. Fuel consumption message should appear (in liters/hour).
To proceed to the next test step, press the ADAC button.
An error message should appear.
If the letter t is displayed, then there is an incorrect fuel signal for more than four seconds. If the letter J is displayed, there is a malfunction in the fuel gauge circuit (open circuit for more than 100 seconds). The resistance of the sensor must be in the range of 5 - 350 ohms. If the letter d is displayed. then there is a permanently incorrect fuel supply signal. If the letter h is displayed, then there is a malfunction in the oil level sensor circuit. The resistance of the sensor should be in the range of 6 - 20 ohms. If dashes are displayed, no faults were found. To stop diagnostics, press the RESET button.
Note. Diagnostics of vehicle systems by the on-board computer is not carried out.
