- Shock absorber support bolt - 180 Nm
- Travel stop nut - 60 Nm
- Wheel bolt - 90 Nm
Removing
- turn on the parking brake;
- raise the front of the vehicle, place safety supports under the body and remove the appropriate wheel;
- Remove the brake caliper and, without removing the brake hose, secure the caliper to the body with a rope or wire;
- unscrew the two nuts of the bolts securing the lower part of the rack to the steering knuckle. Remove the bolts and support the fist from below with a suitable stand;
- disconnect the brake hose and ABS sensor from the rack (if installed);

- in the engine compartment, unscrew the nut of the upper strut mount, holding the shock absorber rod from turning with a hexagon (Figure 5.3);
- remove the lower part of the strut from the steering knuckle and carefully remove the strut together with the spring from under the wing, without damaging the cover of the outer CV joint.
Shock absorber replacement
Special tool:
- Suspension spring puller universal.
1. Clamp the shock absorber in a vise.
2. Using a universal puller, compress the suspension spring.
3. Turn away a nut of fastening of a saddle of a spring.
4. Remove the spring and intermediate parts.
5. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order. Apply general purpose grease to the spring and seats.
Installing the shock absorber strut is carried out in the reverse order of removal, while doing the following:
- nuts fastening the bolts of the lower part of the rack to the steering knuckle, place at the rear along the course of the car;
- tighten fasteners to specified torque.
