Special tool:
- Powertrain time - Mot. 1390
- Ball joint puller - T.Av. 476
Tightening torques:
- Wheel bolt - 90 Nm
- Steering tie rod ball joint nut - 37 Nm
- Steering shaft joint bolt - 25 Nm
- Subframe bolts:
- M10 (front) - 60 Nm
- M12 (rear) - 105 Nm
- Tightening nut - 30 Nm
- Hub nut - 55 Nm
- Engine thrust is 65 Nm
- Steering gear bolts - 50 Nm
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Place the vehicle on a lift.
3. Remove the front wheels.
4. Using the T.Av. 476 puller, disconnect the guide rod joint from the subframe.
5. Unscrew the nut securing the hub to the suspension arm.
6. Loosen the mudguard fasteners to access the upper subframe tie rod mounting bolt.
7. Remove the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter.
8. Loosen the engine thrust mounting bolt (near the engine).
9. Remove the heat shield to access the shift linkage mounting bolts.
10. Loosen the gear shift rod mounting bolts and remove the rod.
11. Loosen the two mounting nuts and remove the steering gear heat shield.
12. Loosen the steering gear mounting bolts and secure the steering gear to the exhaust manifold.
13. Install the power unit support Mot. 1390.
14. Unscrew the subframe mounting bolts. Throw away the bolts and remove the subframe.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. To facilitate installation, use guide pins screwed into the holes of the front subframe mounting bolts. After installing the rear bolts, unscrew the pins and install the front bolts. Tighten all mounting bolts to the specified torque.
