Replacing silent blocks of the lower arm (Renault Symbol 1)

• remove the lower arm as above;

• press out the damaged silent blocks from the lever using a press, using a mandrel with an outer diameter of 30 mm (Fig. 5.8), resting it only on the hard edges of the silent block;

Attention! To maintain the centering of the silent blocks in relation to the lever axis, the silent blocks are replaced one by one.

• carefully clean the mounting places of the new silent blocks from burrs that may interfere with installation;
• lubricate the new silent blocks with oil and press them in, observing the dimensions indicated in Fig. 5.8;
• wipe the lever to remove excess oil and reinstall it.
