Install the pistons and connecting rods together using the tool.
Install the crankshaft connecting rods.
Install the connecting rod caps.
Tighten to the required torque (20 Nm + 45°±6°) and tighten the connecting rod cap stud nuts to the required angle.
Install:
- oil pump drive sprocket;
- oil pump drive chain;
- oil pump.
Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts to the specified torque (25 Nm).
The tightness of the front cover of the engine block is ensured by installing a gasket or applying a sealant.
Note: The mating surfaces of the cylinder block and the front cover of the engine block must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
Note: If LOCTITE 518 is selected to provide a seal on the engine block front cover, apply it in a 1 mm wide tape as shown in Figure 2.180.

Install the front engine block cover.

Tighten the engine block front cover mounting bolts in the order shown in Figure 2.181 to the required torque (12 Nm).
Install the water pump.
Apply one to two drops of LOCTITE FRENETANCH to water pump mounting bolts 1 and 4.
Tighten in the order shown to the specified torque:
- m6 water pump mounting bolts (11 Nm);
- m8 bolt for fastening the water pump (22 Nm).

Apply four beads of sealant at points A with a diameter of 5 mm and two drops of sealant at points B with a diameter of 7 mm to the mating surface of the front cover and the cylinder block (fig. 2.182).
Install the oil separator.
Install the pan with a new gasket.
Tighten in the order shown to the specified torque:
- pan mounting bolts (1.4 Nm).
Install the oil level sensor.
Tighten the oil level sensor to the specified torque (20 Nm).
Install the knock sensor.
Tighten the knock sensor to the specified torque (20 Nm).
Install the oil pressure sensor.
Tighten the oil pressure sensor to the specified torque (32 Nm).
