Removal and installation the amplifier module (E7J engines) (Renault Megane 1)

Removal

1. With the ignition off, disconnect the high-tension wire from the ignition coil, then disconnect the wiring connectors from the amplifier module (refer to the accompanying illustration).

2. Loosen the mounting nuts and remove the control unit from the mounting posts on the engine compartment bulkhead. Note that one of the nuts also secures the bracket for the absolute pressure sensor hose in the intake manifold.

3. If necessary, remove the bolts and separate the high-voltage ignition coil from the booster module (refer to Section Removal, checking and installation ignition coils).
