To check the ignition module, perform the following steps.

You will need: a tester, an ohmmeter.

1. Disconnect the high-voltage wire ends from the ignition module.

1. Disconnect the high-voltage wire ends from the ignition module.


2. Measure the secondary winding resistance by connecting an ohmmeter to the high-voltage terminals of the ignition module. The secondary winding resistance should be approximately 7.0 kΩ.

3. Repeat the test for terminals "2" and "3".

4. If the resistance of at least one secondary winding differs from the specified value, replace the ignition module.

5. Reinstall the high voltage wires.

Before installation, lubricate the high-voltage wire tips with consistent grease. The manufacturer recommends FLUORINE GREASE (catalog No.82 00 168 855), but technical petroleum jelly can also be used.




To remove and install the ignition module, perform the following steps.

You will need a TORX T30 key.

2. ...and, having pressed the lock, the wiring harness block.

5. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. The tightening torque of the ignition module mounting bolts is 15 N·m (1.5 kgf·m).
